The Uruguayan family winery Bodega Garzón is located in Maldonaldo, in a scenically beautiful area in the south of the country, not far from the Atlantic Ocean. The estate's vineyards are spread across the surrounding slopes in over 1,000 small plots, benefiting from variable microclimates with excellent exposure, surrounded by forests and olive groves. Wine production is led by renowned Tuscan consultant Alberto Antonini. The Albarino grapes are harvested by hand. After gentle pressing, the wine is fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel to preserve the freshness and aromatic character typical of this varietal. The finished wine then rests on its lees for 3 to 6 months before bottling. In the glass, the wine reveals a bright and clear color with straw yellow tones and greenish reflections. Its aromatic profile is broad and fragrant with fruity notes of peach and citrus, hints of honeysuckle, and lemon zest. On the palate, it reveals a pronounced minerality and an invigorating freshness. It is lively and fruity with a long, rounded finish. It is the ideal wine for Asian fish and seafood dishes, but also shrimp salad and fish ceviche.
