In 1895, the pioneering forefathers of Budweiser Budvar created a fiercely independent brewery for the Czech people in in České Budějovice. Today, it's still owned by the people of the Czech Republic and brews beer in exactly the same way – with just four ingredients: whole-cone Saaz hops, Moravian malt, heritage lager yeast and pure soft water. It's rich and full-bodied with sweet, malty flavours and an aromatic mousse.
