Glenlivet 40 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky

70cl / 41.6% / Distillery Bottling - This expression was aged for 40 years, including a finishing period in a combination of oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The sherry influence makes itself apparent with rich notes of macerated stone fruit, brandied cherries and strawberry preserves which sit beautifully alongside creamy vanilla and tropical fruits, intensified over decades of gentle maturation. A spicy character to the finish belies this whisky’s advanced age, bringing cinnamon, sweet anise and polished oak.
