Fairhall Cliffs Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough 2023/25

Brent Marris, owner and Chief Winemaker of Marisco Vineyards, has been making wine in Marlborough for over 35 years. He was the first Roseworthy qualified winemaker from Marlborough, and went on to launch the Oyster Bay brand before starting his own wine business with his father. He created Marisco back in 2005 along with the launching of The Ned brand. Today the family is one of the largest family owned wine businessess in Marlborough. Their vineyards are predominantly based in the Waihopai Valley of Marlborough - a signature valley know for it's unique climate and ancient river bed with alluvial soils formed by glacial movements hundreds of years ago. Only the best hand-picked Sauvignon Blanc grapes make it into this bottling. When fruit is at optimal ripeness, with bright and punchy aromatics, it’s harvested, lightly crushed and then fermented in stainless steel. Early bottling captures all its freshness, including elderflower, lemon and passion fruit notes.
