The Lakes Distillery Reflections whisky is suggestive of the autumnal Lake District in character, on tasting Reflections, spiced pumpkin and fragrant wood spice evolve into apple compote, warming cinnamon, and a long, reflective finish. Reflections is a restrained, elegant and light whisky, but also incredibly vibrant.. Released on 23 September at 54% Alc. every bottle is non-chill filtered and natural in colour.. Nose: Spiced pumpkin, potpourri, orange peel and fragrant woodspice. Palate: Autumnal fruits, warm apple compote with hints of warming cinnamon. Finish: Long, vibrant and reflective. Reflections: The Cocktail. 50ml The Whiskymaker's Editions Reflections. 30ml Apple Marigold Syrup. 15ml Shiso syrup. 3 drops Shiso bitters. 5 drops salt solution. Topped with soda. Cumbria hosts the Lakes Distillery, founded in 2011 by Paul Currie, co-founder of Isle of Arran Distillery. Situated within a renovated farmstead by River Derwent in a national park, they innovate due to limited space, using custom stills for whisky and a smaller one for Lakes Gin/Vodka. Whisky master Dhavall Ghandi joined in 2016, infusing tradition with fresh inspiration. The Lakes introduced The Whiskymaker’s Reserve in 2019, a series of single malts. Located near Penrith, it's a gem of heritage and innovation.
