Ludlow Distillery Dry Gin No.1 is a classic, timeless gin evoking the gentle scent of the Shropshire hills.. Traditionally distilled in a copper still, this gin is juniper-led (as a proper London Dry style should be), and combines the other 3 classic botanicals (coriander, angelica and orris) with citrus, cardamon and gorse.. Coriander bring s a lemony aroma to the nose (it’s actually related to juniper so reinforces those juniper notes). The woodiness of angelica is essential for depth, while the delicate floral fragrance of Orris is bewitching and lifts the nose of any gin.. Cardamom, often seen in classic Plymouth Gins, adds refreshing mintiness which enhances the pine notes of the juniper..
