Cantina Girlan 'Flora' Pinot Noir Riserva 2021/22, Alto Adige DOC

100 years ago, a small group of Italian winegrowers decided to come together and start a winery. They combined their 25 hectares of vineyards and, on the site of a 16th-century farmstead in the high-altitude region of Alto Adige, founded Cantina Girlan. Since then, the winery has gone from strength to strength – and today, it's home to some of the most awarded wines in the area. Pinot Noir is a particular speciality, as you'll see when you taste this elegant bottling. Made with hand-harvested grapes, it's aged in both oak and bottle to give it extra complexity and smoothness. You'll find it elegant and velvety with wild-berry and sour-cherry notes, plus a long, fruity finish. A lighter style of red like this makes a delicious pairing for white meats like chicken, or grilled fish.
