Domaine L. Chablis Chatelain 2024, France

Originally from Portugal, the Chatelain de Oliveira family moved to Chablis in the early part of the 20th century and the estate continues to be run by the family today. Based in the village of Fontenay, just north of the town of Chablis, their vines grow on the region’s famous Kimmeridgian soils – a mixture of chalky limestone and clay that dates back to the Jurassic period. Chablis is known for its signature flinty character, which certainly shines through in this elegant bottling. It’s crisp and aromatic, with white flowers, citrus fruit, and a fresh minerality that perfectly matches seafood or goat's cheese.
