Henri Boillot 'Clos de la Mouchère’ Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru 2022/23

The older the vine, the tastier the grape. And the Chardonnay grapes that go into producing this wine come from plants that are 81 years old. That’s only one reason why it tastes so good. Another is the soil: top-quality clay and limestone in a Premier Cru vineyard within the prestigious Puligny-Montrachet region. And of course, the considered winemaking, from father-son duo Henri and Guillaume Boillot, is a factor. Rich, mineral and complex, this is a white with real style. With so much character it will stand up to a host of dishes, particularly fine seafood, like lobster or crab. And it will age nicely for another ten years.
