Piccini 'Tenute' Rosso di Montalcino 2022, Tuscany

Montalcino is one of the most famous wine regions in Italy. It's a unique terroir located in the south province of Sienna, fully of incredible history and great wines based on Sangiovese grosso variety. The long history of Piccini has its roots in the heart of Chianti Classico. Here, in the shade of the hills, Angiolo Piccini founded a small winery in 1882. Since then, the company has carved out a prestigious position within the national and International wine scene. This red spends 8 months in oak barrel and 1 month in the bottle, developing deliciously aromatic flavours. It has an intense and persistent aroma with notes of wild red berries. On the palate the wine is well-structured, smooth and full bodied. It makes for an ideal accompaniment for spicy roasts, game and medium aged cheeses.
