This 100% Sauvignon Blanc wine exhibits a pale gold tint, with typical Loire Valley aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, and exotic fruits such as grapefruit and passion fruit. These are underscored by a salty vein of minerality and a note of white tea bitterness. A fantastic small-region alternative to Sancerre and Pouilly Fume. Clément and Florian are the caretakers of a rich winemaking heritage in the Loire Valley, which began when their father, Jean Marie Berthier, established the estate in 1980. These days, the estate spans 32 hectares in some of the Loire Valley’s finest appellations. Florian has transitioned the vineyards to organic farming, while Clément takes care of the cellar and the business side of the winery - together, they craft an incredible range of white wines. The Coteaux du Giennois Blanc is full of zest and fresh acidity in the mouth, with a concentrated mineral profile. Flavours of quince, pear, and a hint of cream provide good length, making it this delightful and refreshing wine to the last sip. It will be an excellent partner for pork sausages or seafood or as a refreshing contrast to a spicy dish.
