Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant. Located in the Mayacamas Mountains, California, Long Meadow Ranch was acquired in 1989 by the Hall family after a long period of neglect following the Prohibition era. Today, the farm covers about 61 hectares of vineyards distributed in the Napa Valley and Anderson Valley, where Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio are grown. The vineyards are cultivated organically and the company uses an integrated full-cycle agriculture system and also produces meat, honey, fruit and vegetables and olive oil. The grapes are selected and harvested from the vineyards located in the Anderson Valley. Here they benefit from a fresh climate influenced by the proximity of the Navarro River and Pacific Ocean that create optimal conditions for the Pinot Noir grapes. After vinification, the finished wine is aged in French oak (25% of which is new). Long Meadow Ranch Pinot Noir has a ruby red color, with lively reflections. On the nose, the wine reveals a fruity flavor profile with notes of blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, and plums and some delicate touches of sweet spice. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy with fresh red fruit flavors and light, velvety tannins. It is a very versatile and food-friendly wine that pairs well with both duck and salmon and is perfect with mushroom risotto.
