Product Description

Sarah Sorbet is a remarkable peony, showcasing triple-layered, ruffled pink flowers that unfurl from substantial, rounded buds. Reaching a height of 90cm (35"), this variety is best situated towards the rear of perennial borders, where its blooms gracefully ascend above dense clumps of deeply divided, dark green foliage. These peonies create elegant bouquets and stunning cut flower displays. Please note that it may take 2-3 years from planting for the plant to flower. The petals are edible and can be added to salads or lightly cooked and sweetened as a treat. Peony water was once considered a delicacy, and the blooms can be floated in punches.Upon delivery, bare roots should be planted at the earliest opportunity. Grow peonies in a sunny or semi-shaded location with fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Peony plants thrive in heavy soil enriched with organic matter. Before planting, improve the soil by incorporating plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. Plant herbaceous peonies with the top of the crown just 5cm (2”) below the soil surface, ensuring not to plant too deeply to avoid hindering or delaying flowering.Product Specifications:.Position: Sun or Semi Shade.Height: Up to 90cm when fully established.Spread: Up to 90cm when fully established.Supplied as 2x Paeonia Sorbet Bare Root.Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
