It is a textured wine, made of 100% Sauvignon Blanc harvested from 42 different parcels, growing on a combination of sandstone from the majestic Table Mountain, and granite. The Constantia estate is almost synonymous with the great Cape wines and has been referenced in literature written by numerous great authors, such as Jane Austen, Alexandre Dumas, and Charles Dickens. After a period of dormancy, the estate found a new lease of life in 1986 and has once again been recognised as one of the greatest wineries in the world, winning awards from Decanter and South Africa Report several years in a row.
