The clad backs and bays also make it easier to prevent loose leaved documents going astray. This type of fully clad bay shelving provides a variety of commercial archive and multi-tier storage options with the benefit of easy assembly. There is no time wasted erecting the shelving with nuts and bolts. Instead the whole system is held together with clips. Companies ordering euro shelving fully clad bays should be aware that any unit with top shelving of more than a 4:1 height to depth ratio will need to be secured to the wall or floor. This type of shelving is available in either starter or extension form. There are eight different sizes available for fully clad bay shelving and the same number for the extensions. It is important to note that the difference between a starter and extension bay is that a starter bay of shelving is able to stand on its own as it has two end frames / sets of uprights (one at each end of the bay) whereas an extension shelving bay only has one end frame or set of uprights which means it needs to be joined to another bay of the same type of shelving to enable it to stand up. The height and width for all types of fully clad euro shelving is either 1 800 mm x 1 000 mm or 2 100 mm x 1 000 mm. The dimensions for the actual shelves vary between 300 400 450 and 600 mm.
