Zinsser BIN Primer is a shellac-based powerhouse designed to tackle challenging surfaces with ease. Whether you're working with high-gloss paints, varnishes, or stained wood, this shellac primer ensures unmatched adhesion, making it a reliable choice for cabinets, trim, furniture, walls, ceilings and more. While its primary strength lies in bonding to glossy or stubborn surfaces, the Zinsser BIN Shellac Primer also offers excellent stain-blocking properties for issues like smoke and water stains. For outdoor projects, it’s best suited for spot priming rather than general exterior use. Providing up to 12.5m2 per litre of coverage and touch dry within 15 minutes , the Zinsser BIN Primer is recoatable within 45 minutes and is available in two colours - white and grey - in various tin sizes including 500ml, 1L, 2.5L and 5L. Typically, one coat of Zinsser BIN Shellac Primer is sufficient to prime most surfaces effectively. However, for highly porous surfaces, an additional coat may be necessary to achieve full coverage and a properly sealed base.
