The super tension braiding strengthens the core of the hose and prevents pin-holing and ovaling. It also gives the rubber a strong base to bond to, preventing delamination of the rubber. The ferrule fuse, a method of crimping the high pressure fittings to the hose, is unique to V-TUF.
