Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Sandwich Plate - Front Mounted Thermostat

These Thermostatic Oil Sandich Plates from Mishimoto are designed to allow the fitment of an external oil cooler without the problems associated with running your oil too cold.The supply of oil to the cooler is disabled until a set temperature is reached.This gives you the best of both worlds. You don't want your oil too cold any more than you want it too hot. With these sandwich plates, the oil is allowed to reach a good operating temperature before the cooler is brought into play, ensuring your oil temperature stays within a healthy range.The unit comes with a standard 185°F/85°C thermostat installed but this can be swapped out for a 160°F/71°C unit or a 200°F/93°C unit.These are available with a front or rear mounted thermostat.The front-mounted thermostat version is 4.02"" x 3.11"" x 1.18"" (102.1mm x 78.99mm x 29.97mm) and has two M20 x 1.5 ports.The rear-mounted thermostat version is 3.19"" x 2.8"" x 1.18"" (81.03mm x 71.mm x 29.97mm) and is available with two 1/8"" NPT plugs or optionally with two additional M22 x1.5 plugs.
