Forge's Splitter Valve is designed to offer both recirculating and atmospheric operation. This is intended for engines which use Metred Air Flow and don't normally play well with atmospheric valves. By splitting the charge being vented, enough airflow is recirculated to make this work with MAF engine management systems.Compatible with Metred Air-Flow engine managementAdjustable preloadOptional full recirculationMany modern engines use Metred Air-Flow engine management. These are designed for use with a recirculating valve. Normally if you vent air that has been metred into the engine, it can cause problems with the smooth running of the engine. This valve gets around this by splitting up the charge being vented between the normal recirculation path, and atmospheric venting. Enough air is recirculated to ensure smooth operation of the engine.The Forge Splitter valve can be configured to offer fully recirculating operation, fully atmospheric operation, and hybrid operation. Forge do not normally recommend fully atmospheric operation because this tends to lead to the engine running rich, as air the engine is expecting gets vented.The splitter valve is adjustable for different boost pressures
