The Multi-Sharp 3001 Wetstone is a water-cooled tool sharpener designed for precision sharpening of chisels, plane blades and a wide range of workshop tools. This drill-powered sharpening system uses recirculating water to prevent overheating and loss of steel temper, eliminating the risk of blueing that can occur with dry grinding methods. The system harnesses the power and torque of any electric drill to sharpen even badly damaged chisels and plane blades quickly and effectively. The precision chisel clamp holds blades securely at selectable angles of 25, 30, 35 or 40 degrees, accommodating primary and secondary bevels for firmer, bevel-edge and rebate chisels. Simply fill the built-in water reservoir, power on your drill, and a continuous film of water covers the grinding wheel face to maintain optimal sharpening conditions. Beyond edge tools, the included tool rest provides a stable platform for re-pointing and re-edging smaller workshop tools including cold chisels, bradawls, screwdrivers, centre-punches, scribers, wood carving tools, turning tools and gouges. Marked angles on the rest help achieve the correct tip angle for each tool type. A traditional leather strop is included to remove any burr after sharpening, delivering a razor-sharp finish.
