Fall Detection Our fall detection devices use built-in accelerometers to identify sudden movements followed by a rapid stop—typically indicating a fall. The system is calibrated to reduce false alerts from normal activity while still aiming to recognise serious falls. Due to this careful balance fall detection cannot guarantee detection of every fall. Some movements may not meet the trigger conditions and occasionally non-fall actions may raise an alert. Reliability may also depend on how and where the device is worn. If you’re able to do so you should always press the button manually after a fall. Fall detection is a helpful safety feature but should not be relied on as the only way to call for help. If you’ve had a fall do not assume the alert has gone through—press the button if you can. Alarm Call Response Time We aim to answer 97.5% of emergency alarm calls within 60 seconds in line with TSA guidelines. As of April 2025 our average answer time was 4.08 seconds. Network Requirements Devices that rely on an unlocked SIM card need a mobile signal to connect. If no signal is available the device cannot send an alarm call support two-way communication or share your location—similar to when a mobile phone has no service. While our SIM devices can work with weak mobile signals a 4G connection is recommended for faster response times. Personal Alarm Watch Locator Our Personal Alarm Watches include a free in-home locator device. This can improve indoor location accuracy especially in flats or buildings with mobile network weak spots. The watch still requires a mobile signal to connect to the locator and to place or receive alarm calls. Pacemakers & Implanted Cardiac Devices If you have a pacemaker or implanted cardiac device keep the Personal Alarm Watch at least 15cm (6 inches) away. Wear it on the opposite wrist to minimise any potential interference. This guidance aligns with international standards such as ISO 14117 and IEC 60601-1-2 for electromagnetic compatibility. Although modern pacemakers are well-shielded keeping this distance supports optimum performance. If you have concerns please consult your healthcare provider or pacemaker manufacturer. Wellness Monitoring The Careline365 Personal Alarm Watch can check your heart rate and blood pressure. Each reading may take up to 30 seconds. For accuracy ensure the watch fits properly against clean dry skin and that you remain still during the reading. Accuracy can be affected by movement strap tightness skin contact hydration and temperature. These readings are for general wellness only.
