As well as the all important saffron extract, the vitamin D3 and prebiotic, Saffrosun Energy contains iodine instead of vitamin B12. The iodine is sourced from marine algae. It helps with efficient energy utilisation and metabolism and also supports optimum cognitive, thyroid and nervous system function. 95% of the clinical efficacy of Saffrosun relates to the three high strength saffron bioactives (crocin, saffranal & picrocrocin), the concentration of these are identical in the two formulations i. e. 3.5%, with the daily dose of 2 capsules providing 30mg of saffron extract. As this formulation contains iodine it should not be used if taking iodine supplements and it is not suitable for those with an overactive thyroid gland.
