Murano Glass Vase - Large

Hand-blown on the island of Murano, where the Venetian Republic relocated its glassmakers in 1291 — ostensibly to protect the city from fire, but also to keep the techniques under secret lore. More than seven centuries later, the skills are still passed between families on the same island. This vase is the product of that lineage: clear glass, 23cm, the form simple enough that the light does the work. Not restocked when it sells.
