Espira Bi Plane Cottage Copper Weathervane

This charming Bi-Plane Cottage Copper Weathervane adds whimsical appeal to smaller structures like bungalows, garages, and sheds. Historically used on Viking ships to predict weather patterns, weathervanes have a fascinating past. This decorative piece, handcrafted with polished copper and spacer balls, features polished brass NSEW points and a powder-coated black steel rotation rod. The polished copper will naturally patina, eventually turning verdigris, a process that can be slowed with a clear lacquer. The brass will also age. Protecting the steel rod with Hammerite is recommended. Each weathervane comes with an eave bracket projecting 125mm (5”) with a 7.5cm square mounting plate.
