Espira Victorian Arrow Cottage Weathervane

This Victorian Arrow Cottage Weathervane brings period elegance to smaller buildings such as bungalows, sheds, and garages. Its charming design adds whimsical interest, echoing the historical use of weathervanes on Viking ships to predict weather patterns by indicating wind direction. The decorative features and spacer balls are hand-brazed polished copper. The NSEW cardinal points are polished brass, affixed to a black powder-coated steel rod. Over time, the polished copper will naturally patina, eventually developing verdigris, applying a clear lacquer can help slow this process. The brass will also discolour. To extend the life of the steel rod, we recommend Hammerite. Every Cottage weathervane comes with an eave bracket—a 125mm (5”) projection with a 7.5cm square mounting plate.
