Mt. Difficulty 'Roaring Meg' Chardonnay 2023, Central Otago

The story of Mt Difficulty began in the 1990s, when four friends became the owners of five newly planted vineyards in Bannockburn, Central Otago. A handshake cemented their fate and in 2004, Mt Difficulty Wines Ltd was created. It’s now owned by Foley Wines – an inter-regional premium wine group in New Zealand. The grapes for this wine are selected from the coolest vineyard sites in Central Otago, helping to retain freshness and acidity. The wine is aged in a mix of concrete eggs and oak barrels for 12 months to enhance richness and body before bottling. Expect flavours of juicy peach, grapefruit, green apple, and lively citrus.
