René Lalique, the founder of the famed French crystal glassware house, and Peugeot decided in 1924 to bring their outstanding expertise together to create an exceptional piece. This alliance brought forth a salt cellar named Feuilles (French for leaves), made entirely of crystal glass. Nearly a century later, Maison Lalique and Peugeot are reissuing this Art Deco salt mill with its unique light effects and clarity. Reproducing the leaf motifs required use of the most modern techniques combined with the manual skills of fifteen artisans. This technological feat made it possible to incorporate the Peugeot grinding mechanism inside the crystal glass.
