Carpe Diem is a range of quality wines produced by the renowned Cantina Vinicola Luca, run by the Luca family for four generations. This traditional Moldovan winery now owns approximately 10.5 hectares of vineyards, where they grow local varietals such as Feteasca Regală, Viorica, and Fetească Neagră, as well as international varietals such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Carpe Diem Bad Boys is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Feteasca Neagră, and Saperavi, a red that combines the modernity and elegance of European wines with the unique, vaguely wild character of the Moldovan ones. After manual harvesting and vinification, the finished wine ages in French oak for 20 months. The result is an intense and deep wine, expressive and balanced, revealing a powerful aromatic profile with notes of cherry and blackberry, cassis and wild berries, followed by hints of tobacco on a spicy undertone. On the palate, it is complex and concentrated. It has a full body and a silky texture, with ripe, smooth tannins and a long finish that reveals spicy notes. It is the ideal wine with game. Try it with pappardelle with wild boar, venison steak, or lamb goulash.
