Ideally the item should be serviced before storage and not after.Inflate tyres slightly above their normal pressure to ensure there is no pressure bulge where the tyres touch the floor.Remove Battery and charge periodically, or leave battery on the bike and connect to a charger that is outside the bag. (if this system is adopted you must ensure the charger does not gas the battery).Please note: The kit 'can' still be used without a vacuum cleaner to remove the air, simply push the bag towards the bike to expel as much air as possible. Once the Drisorb has been placed into the bag and is sealed the bike can be stored in a dry environment and will work. Using a vacuum cleaner should be done with caution as the bag will have a tendency to pull tight on the bike and is more likely to tear if there are sharp protrusions on the bike.
