Alchemilla erythropoda, a charming dwarf Lady's Mantle, brings a touch of elegance to any rockery, alpine garden, or container display. This hardy perennial forms attractive, low mounds of deeply lobed, blue-green leaves with sharply toothed edges that spread gracefully. In midsummer, striking red stems emerge, topped with clusters of tiny yellow-green flowers, creating a delightful contrast against the foliage. Perfectly compact at 15cm tall with a 30cm spread, Alchemilla erythropoda is an excellent choice for smaller spaces where its unique beauty can be fully appreciated. Flourishing in partial shade to full sun, it thrives in consistently moist, but not waterlogged, soil. A balanced fertiliser should be applied during the growing season.
