The JCB Professional Solid Forged Grafting Spade Drain master is a Newcastle Style drainage shovel, built for digging holes, trenches, post holes and deep narrow holes/edges. Our heavy-duty grafting spade is fitted with a long and narrow 16” tapered single piece high carbon steel blade, which is designed to be driven through thick soil and hardcore with comparative ease. To cope with the demands of all-day use in tough conditions, our grafting spade employs a durable tubular steel shaft and is connected to a thick forged socket to accommodate greater levering forces. The JCBDM01 comes equipped with an all-steel ‘D grip’ handle, which makes it resilient under heavy loads and protects it against corrosion when working in all weather conditions. For added convenience, our grafting spade features integrated forward-facing food treads to increase stability and grip when applying downward pressure through the soil.
