Product Description

Bring a burst of late-season colour to your garden displays with Echinacea purpurea ‘Magnus’ (Coneflower). This variety features strong, upright stems adorned with exceptionally large, burnt orange flowers, each with a striking dark black centre. Blooming from summer and right through to autumn, this delightful plant offers a fantastic, consistent display, come rain or shine.Perfect for adding to large cottage-style borders or combined with soft ornamental grasses for a modern, low-maintenance prairie effect. Beyond its garden appeal, it also excels as a cut flower for late-season arrangements.Ideal for cottage gardens, wildlife gardens and cut flower gardens. Hardy, this perennial thrives in full sun, reaching heights of up to 100cm and spreading up to 60cm.Your Echinacea Purpurea 'Magnus' will arrive in 9cm pots. Nurture Echinacea plants in frost-free conditions until they are ready for transplanting outdoors. Acclimatise them gradually to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting in borders. Choose a sunny or semi-shaded spot with moist, well-drained soil. Coneflowers flourish in deep, fertile soil, so enrich the soil with well-rotted manure or garden compost before planting.Water and feed regularly throughout the growing season until the plants are well-established. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage further blooming. In autumn, cut back the spent flower stems and apply a mulch of well-rotted manure around the base of the plant. Divide overcrowded plants in either autumn or spring.Images are for illustrative purposes and represent the expected results from mature plants. Different growing conditions can affect results. The image may illustrate the supply, but variations may occur due to seasonal changes, and the exact variety may differ.
