Helianthemum plants dislike waterlogged soil, especially during the winter months, so improve heavy soil by incorporating coarse grit or sharp sand before planting. Once established, these rock roses can easily withstand dry, sandy conditions.Feed and water regularly during the establishment phase. Once mature, they become relatively drought-tolerant and require minimal upkeep.
