This semi-evergreen boasts a robust, arching habit and delivers outstanding autumn interest with its clusters of fragrant flowers. Ideally suited to warmer climates, Abelia thrives in dry, sunny borders. Abelia can be clipped into a hedge easily.Easily maintained as a hedge, this reasonably compact plant features glossy foliage that persists for most of the year, ensuring seasonal appeal. For optimal hardiness, plant against a sheltered wall to protect from harsh weather and encourage growth. Abelia x grandiflora flourishes in garden borders with any fertile, well-drained garden soil, or in patio containers with soil-based compost.Position in full sun, and water and feed regularly until established.
