Product Description
Hydrangea Macrophylla Bavaria is a distinctive variety, celebrated for its bicoloured blooms and extended flowering season. Throughout mid-summer, it presents a dense display of substantial mophead flower clusters at the terminus of each branch, showcasing shades of lavender blue with a contrasting white edge. Following consistent flowering throughout the summer, the foliage transitions in autumn, developing a mottled or red-blotched appearance before shedding. Suited to brighten any dull garden spot, this variety thrives best in partially shaded locations with consistently cool, moist soil. Bloom colour may shift towards mauve or pink depending on soil acidity levels. Expect a height and spread of up to 1.2 metres (4 feet). Plant height and spread are seasonal; plants are supplied according to pot size, not a fixed plant dimension. Delivered plant height and spread will vary by season; images are indicative only. Hydrangea macrophylla prospers in a sunny or semi-shaded position, sheltered from harsh, drying winds. Cultivate hydrangea plants in rich, fertile, moist soil. Enhance soil quality before planting by incorporating well-rotted manure or garden compost thoroughly and deeply. Alternatively, plant Hydrangea macrophylla in patio containers using soil-based compost, such as John Innes No. 3. Product specifics: Position in sun, semi-shade, or dappled shade. Reaches heights of up to 120cm (48 inches) and spreads of up to 120cm (48 inches). Supplied as Hydrangea Macrophylla Bavaria 3x 10.5cm Potted Plant. Images provide guidance on expected mature results; varying growing conditions may yield different outcomes. Images may illustrate supply but can vary due to seasonal changes (e.g., deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
