Thompson and Morgan Spiraea Arguta Plant in Pot 9cm

Spiraea ‘Arguta’ is a cottage garden favourite, its arching branches lending themselves to informal gardens or relaxed styles. This RHS AGM-awarded variety is prized for its resilience, ease of growth and long display of prolific spring flowers which light up the garden. The frothy appearance of this variety is a magical sight in beds and borders. From April to May, each branch is smothered in arching sprays of bee-friendly white flowers, giving way in summer to a dense shrub of green foliage to extend seasonal interest. A popular, low-maintenance choice for filling gaps in borders with long seasonal interest, it can also be close-planted in rows to form a showy hedge. For best performance, grow Spiraea in a sunny position, in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Prune flowered shoots immediately after flowering. Mature specimens can be cut back by a quarter of the old shoots to the base. Position: Full Sun. Height: Up to 2.5m when fully established. Spread: Up to 2.5m when fully established.
