Product Description

This Houttuynia Cordata Chameleon is a vigorous perennial, boasting heart-shaped leaves splashed with green, gold, and red, providing unique colour and interest. Thriving in a range of conditions, from sunny spots to dappled shade, and tolerant of both moisture and drought, it's a versatile addition to any garden. When crushed, the foliage releases a distinctive pungent orange fragrance. In mid-summer, expect a display of pure white flowers covering the spreading stems. Ideal as ground cover in borders or around pond margins, Houttuynia reaches a height of 30cm (12”) and spreads up to 100cm (39”). Plant in Zone 1 & 2 to a depth of 10cm (4”) below water level. The leaves are edible and make a marvellous flavouring in salads, releasing an orange-like smell.Product Specifications:.Position: Sun, Semi Shade, or Dappled Shade.Height: Up to 30cm (11.8”).Spread: Up to 100cm (39.4”).Supplied as: 1x Houttuynia Cordata Chameleon in a 9cm pot.Plant Houttuynia in any garden soil or in the shallow margins of ponds, ensuring the crown is 10cm (4") below water level. Images may also illustrate supply but can vary due to seasonal changes (e.g. deciduous plants lose leaves in colder months).
