The Passiflora violacea 'Lavender Lady' is a vigorous evergreen, producing stunning pale violet flowers, larger than most other Passion Flowers. Following the beautiful blooms are orange passion fruits, a spectacular feature in late summer.Plant passion flower plants into any moist, well-drained soil in a sunny or semi-shaded position, sheltered from cold winter winds. Prior to planting, enrich the soil with well-rotted manure or garden compost. Provide support for the twining stems with trellis or wires attached to fences and pergolas. Feed and water regularly during the growing season. In autumn, mulch the base of the plant with well-rotted manure or garden compost. Best pruned in spring, remove the oldest stems and reduce the remaining stems to control their vigorous growth to the available space.Perfect for large containers on the patio, trained up an obelisk, so it can be moved indoors to a greenhouse or conservatory over the winter.
