Enkianthus campanulatus is a perfect easy-to-grow shrub that will enhance any planting scheme in a woodland display or at the back of a border. This low-maintenance, deciduous shrub will give you not one, but two spectacular displays each year! In early summer, expect masses of delicate bell-shaped blooms, each a pale-yellow, tinged with pink, hanging in clusters from the branches. As the season continues, in autumn, the leaves will turn to fiery shades of red in another final show, before they tumble to the ground for the winter.
