Over time, it will mature, producing delicate cream flowers.Start by growing it in frost-free conditions, acclimatising it to the outdoors for 7-10 days before planting. Cordylines prefer fertile, well-drained soil and a sheltered spot in full sun. They particularly love mild coastal environments, so enrich the soil with well-rotted manure when planting. Water and feed regularly until established.Once established, Cordylines require minimal care, but winter protection is needed if temperatures drop below 5°C (23°F).
