Product Description

Hydrangea Macrophylla Bavaria is a distinctive variety celebrated for its bicoloured blooms and extended flowering period. This deciduous shrub puts on a dense display in mid-summer, showcasing large mophead flower clusters at the end of each branch. The blooms feature shades of lavender blue, elegantly frosted with a contrasting white edge. Following continuous flowering throughout the summer, the leaves undergo a transformation in autumn, developing a mottled or red blotch before falling. This variety is ideal for brightening up a dull spot in any garden and thrives best when planted in a partially shaded area with consistently cool and moist soil. The colour of the blooms may shift towards mauve or pink over time, depending on the acidity levels in your soil.Reaching a height and spread of up to 1.2 metres (48 inches), the Hydrangea macrophylla Bavaria prefers a sunny or semi-shaded location, sheltered from cold, drying winds. For optimal growth, plant in rich, fertile, moist soil, improved with well-rotted manure or garden compost mixed thoroughly and deeply. Alternatively, plant hydrangea macrophylla in patio containers using a soil-based compost such as John Innes No. 3.Product Specifications:.Position: Sun or Semi Shade, Dappled Shade.Height: Up to 120cm (48 inches).Spread: Up to 120cm (48 inches).Supplied as: Hydrangea Macrophylla Bavaria 1 x 10.5cm Potted Plant. Please note: Images are for guidance only and depict expected results upon maturity.
