Product Description

Madame Lemoine double lilac is an exquisite, low-maintenance, free-flowering variety, celebrated for its nectar-rich, fragrant blooms that attract butterflies. Its robust, spreading branches showcase double white flowers, complemented by heart-shaped foliage. This lilac makes a superb specimen shrub for a cottage garden setting. Reaching a height and spread of 7m (275 inches).Culinary enthusiasts can add the fragrant flowers to cream cheese or yoghurt for a subtle lemon flavour. Please note that plant height and spread are seasonal, and we supply plants based on pot size rather than a specific plant dimension. The delivered plant's height and spread will vary depending on the time of year; therefore, images are indicative only.Upon receipt, pot up lilac plants and nurture them until they are sufficiently developed for planting in their final positions. Once the plants are well-established and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. For autumn deliveries, overwinter Syringa plants in a sheltered location, such as a cold frame, cool greenhouse, or porch, in preparation for spring planting.Transplant lilac plants into rich, fertile, well-drained soil, with a neutral to alkaline pH, in a location that enjoys full sun. Provide regular feeding and watering throughout the growing season to support young plants as they establish. Prune lilac bushes during winter or spring, removing any damaged, diseased, or misplaced stems before lightly shaping the remaining growth. Following pruning, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the shrub's base.Position in sun or semi-shade. Height up to: 700cm (275 inches). Spread up to: 700cm (275 inches). Images are intended as a guide to the expected results from mature plants. Results may vary based on different growing conditions. Images may illustrate the supply but can vary with seasonal changes (e.g., deciduous plants shed leaves in colder months).
