The Begonia 'Nonstop® Rose Petticoat' is a half-hardy perennial that will bring charm to any outdoor space. Admire the delightful double blooms, showcasing a pure white base with a deep rose picotee and eye-catching, deeply frilled petals. These large 10cm (4in) blooms burst into life from June through to October, providing a long season of colour.Reaching a height of up to 25cm (10in) and spreading to 30cm (12in), these attractive 'Rose Petticoat' begonias are ideal for garden patio containers, window boxes, and hanging baskets. For a unique touch, the bright petals can be added to sandwiches or salads for a light lemon taste and crisp texture.Begonia plugs can be planted straight into flower pouches but thrive when potted on first and grown in bright, frost-free conditions before being displayed in baskets, window boxes or pots. Transplant them into their final containers once they have increased in size. After the last frost, acclimatise the begonias to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before settling them in their final positions. Choose a sunny or semi-shaded spot, sheltered from strong winds.Feed and water frequently throughout the growing season, being careful not to over-water, as this can cause flower buds to drop.
