Product Description

The Begonia 'Nonstop® Rose Petticoat' is a half-hardy perennial offering exquisite double blooms. These striking flowers boast a pristine white base adorned with a deep rose picotee and captivating, deeply frilled petals. Each bloom reaches an impressive size of 10cm (4in), showcasing its beauty from June through to October.Reaching a height of up to 25cm (10in) and spreading to 30cm (12in), these attractive ‘Rose Petticoat’ begonias are perfect for adding charm to patio containers, window boxes, and hanging baskets.A culinary note: The brightly coloured petals can be added to sandwiches or salads for a light lemon taste and crisp texture.Begonia plugs are suitable for planting straight into flower pouches, but it is best to pot them on first and grow them in bright, frost-free conditions if they are to be displayed in baskets, window boxes or pots. Once they have increased in size, they can be transplanted into their final containers. Acclimatise Begonias to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days when all risk of frost has passed before placing them in their final positions. Select a sunny or semi-shaded spot protected from strong winds. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season, being careful not to over-water, as this can cause new flower buds to drop. Deadhead faded flowers regularly to prolong the flowering period and encourage more blooms.Plant Size: Height up to 25cm (10in), Spread up to 30cm (12in).Hardiness & Longevity: Half-hardy Perennial.Ideal For: Patio Containers, Cottage Gardens or Cut Flower Gardens.Position: Sun or Semi Shade.Flowering Months: June to November. Please note: Images are for guidance only and illustrate expected results upon maturity. Different growing conditions may lead to varied results. Images may be included for illustration but can vary due to seasonal changes.
