Each oriental lily bulb can produce up to 10 magnificent flowers, set against lush, forest-green foliage. Cut the blooms to bring a summery feel indoors.For best results, plant in moist, free-draining, neutral to acidic soil rich in organic matter. Enrich the soil with well-rotted manure or garden compost before planting. When planting in containers, use a loam-based compost. Plant bulbs at a depth of approximately three times their height and 15cm (6") apart. Deep planting helps protect the bulbs from heat.
