Easy to grow and heavy-cropping, you can harvest your own aubergines throughout the autumn. Once the risk of frost has passed and the soil is warm, harden off plants and transfer to their final positions. For indoor growing, pot into larger containers or plant two aubergines per growbag. Outdoors, plant in fertile soil, spacing plants 90cm (3’) apart, with 90-120cm (3-4’) between rows. Choose a sheltered spot in full sun. Planting through black plastic mulch helps warm the soil, control weeds and retain moisture.
