These lilies are also ideal for cutting, bringing a summery feel indoors.For best results, plant in moist, free-draining, neutral to acid soil rich in organic matter. Incorporate well-rotted manure or garden compost before planting to give your lilies a great start. When planting in containers, use a loam-based compost such as John Innes No.2. Plant bulbs approximately three times their height deep and 15cm (6") apart. Deep planting helps protect the bulbs from heat.
