At the core of his refined 6 wine range, you have the Fat & Sassy Chardonnay, which is a pure expression of New Zealand’s Chardonnay style - a style that Tony himself had a big hand in defining. Fat & Sassy shows a generous, full nose of citrus, yellow stone fruits, and a savoury oak element, all wrapped up in a blanket of creaminess. It looks pale yellow in the glass and has a thick, viscous quality that is more evident in the mouth. It tastes of citrus fruits - grapefruit and lemon zest mingle with notes of toasted almonds and buttery notes obtained from malolactic fermentation. This is all underpinned by a distinct acidic freshness, perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes. Enjoy it with meaty fish, a creamy chicken dish or even avocado toast.
