Bartoline 1876 All Purpose Filler Powder 1.5Kg Bartoline 1876 Multi Purpose Powder Filler has been specially developed for the professional user. Its non-shrink, non-slump formula is ideal for repairs to plaster, plasterboard, wood, brick, blockwork and most other building materials. Easily sanded, Bartoline Multi Purpose Powder Filler combines excellent adhesive properties that keeps the filler firmly in position with dry strength capable of taking wallplugs, nails and screws when set. Bartoline Multi Purpose Filler will not flash or grin when overcoated and is also suitable for exterior use providing it is sealed with oil-based paint or varnish when dry. PREPARATION For best results brush out loose material and dust from the area to be filled. Hairline cracks should be slightly enlarged to ensure good filler penetration. Lightly moisten highly absorbent surfaces with water prior to application. Touch in nail and screw heads with oil-based paint to prevent rusting. No need to prime or seal the surface before application. MIXING Only mix a quantity that can be used within maximum 40 minutes working time. Add approximately 2.5 parts filler to 1 part clean, cold water. Mix to a SMOOTH, stiff paste. Use a thicker mix for deep cracks or holes. Always use a clean container for mixing as soiled containers can affect the drying time. APPLICATION & FINISH Apply manually using a filling knife or trowel and press firmly into the cavity to be filled. Suitable for depths up to 10mm. Rub down with sandpaper as necessary when dry. When dry, can be over-coated with any type of filler, paint or wallcovering without priming. Do not use externally when rain is imminent. When used outdoors protect the filled area from rain and moisture during setting and then seal area with oil based paint or varnish to protect from weathering. CLEANING & STORAGERemove excess filler from tools prior to cleaning. Clean tools and mixing vessels with warm water before filler sets. STORE IN A DRY PLACE KEEPING SACHET CLOSED. Dispose of any unused product and packaging responsibly in accordance with local and national regulations. TECHNICAL Drying and over-coating times and fill-depth levels are indicative and depend on the substrate, coat thickness and ambient conditions.
