Once in a blue moon, an artist emerges with a new album that shakes the very foundations of the music industry. Unfortunately, Ariana Grande's "Sweetener" is not one of those albums. From the opening track, it's clear that Grande is serving up her usual brand of bubblegum pop with a side of vocal acrobatics. And the collaborations with artists like Nicki Minaj and Pharrell Williams add some much-needed variety to the mix. Overall, "Sweetener" is a solid effort from Grande, but it falls short of the high expectations set by her previous work. Here's hoping that she can push herself even further on her next release.
